Comments: Nude name in Fischer (1857: 173); considered a nomen dubium by Moore (1964: 70-71). Dall's (1889a: 278) Western Atlantic records probably pertain to Circulus liratus, which he listed as a synonym, or to Cyclostremiscus pentagonus as he listed Skenea trilix Bush as a synonym.
