Oliva diaphana sic, [Not available] Attributed to: Duclos (1835) Comments: Apparently a lapsus for tisiphona by Burch & Burch (1960), who listed diaphana Duclos, 1835 as a synonym of O. reticularis. Burch (1959: 7) used the spelling tisophana in a list of synonyms of O. reticularis, but did not mention diaphana.

The illustration of the holotype by Tursch & Greifeneder (2001: 475) shows dark markings just inside the aperture along most of its length, which is consistent with O. tisiphona. Dark markings in O. fulgurator if present are retricted to the posterior end (Rosenberg, herein, 20 April 2009).
