Details

Truncatella barbadensis Pfeiffer, 1856, p. 192
[Basis of the current name]
Type Locality: Insula Barbadoes
Range: 13.31°N to 13.2°N; 59.65°W to 59.5°W
Depth: -30 to -5 m (live -30 to -5 m)
Maximum Reported Size: 6.3 mm
Distribution: Barbados
References: Pfeiffer (1856) M; Clench & Turner (1948) s (of ^T. bilabiata^); Chase & Robinson (2001) vNW
Comments: Also described by Pfeiffer (1857). This species is fully terrestrial; see Rosenberg (1996), where I listed it as Truncatella sp. nov. Subsequently I realized that Clench & Turner (1948) were incorrect in synonymizing T. barbadensis with T. bilabiata.
