Fargoa calesiBartsch, 1955, p. 80-81, pl. 16, fig. 2 [Synonym] Type Locality: Pliocene of North St. Petersburg, Florida Maximum Reported Size: 1.6 mm References: Bartsch (1955) M; Robertson (1978) s; Robertson (1996) v; Turgeon et al. (1998) Comments: Used as valid by Robertson (1966), who considered Odostomia bushiana Bartsch, 1909 to be preoccupied by Jeffreys, 1884. However Jeffreys (1884b: 357) did not name such a taxon; rather he considered Turbonilla bushiana of Verrill to be a synonym of Odostomia magnifica (Seguenza, 1879). Turbonilla bushiana A. E. Verrill, 1882 is still classified as a Turbonilla, so no homonymy exists.

Wells & Wells (1961) argued that the type locality of Japan was incorrect, but Robertson (1978) noted that they had not examined type material and so preferred to use a name with a Western Atlantic type locality.
