Comments: The record from "Cap Cordera" Venezuela by Hunon, Hoarau & Robin (2009) is rejected here; the illustrated specimen (p. 181) matches what Hunon, Hoarau & Robin (2009) treat as O. bewleyi. Oliva bewleyi is known from the mainland of northern South America, whereas O. fulgurator is restricted to the offshore islands (Rosenberg, herein, 20 April 2009).
