Comments: See Mathilda argentina for Argentina records (as Mathilda georgiana) and Prosipho turritus for South Orkney records (as Cerithium georgianus). The neotype designation by Davolos & Moolenbeek (2005) is invalid as they do not express an exceptional need for a neotype (ICZN Article 75.3) or state characters that differentiate the species from other taxa (Article 75.3.4).
