Type Locality: Vor der Mündung der Cumberland Bai, Süd-Georgien, 54°11'S, 36°18'W
Range: 46.25°S to 54.18°S; 67°W to 36.3°W
Depth: 110 to 252 m
Maximum Reported Size: 2.7 mm
Distribution: Argentina: Santa Cruz; Subantarctic: South Georgia
References: Strebel (1908) dSEM; Powell (1951) D; Castellanos & Landoni (1989) NW; Warén (1992a) c; Forcelli (2000)
Comments: Castallanos & Landoni (1989) cite a Patagonian specimen at 46°15'S, 69°09'W, but this is inland. Zelaya (2005a) states that the specimen they figured does not match the holotype of S. impervia. Dell (1990) rejected the record of Thiele (1912) from the Gauss Sea.
