Leda lata Jeffreys, 1876, [Synonym] Comments: Non Nucula lata Hinds, 1845; replaced by Leda jeffreysi by Hidalgo who regarded it as congeneric with Hinds' taxon. Warén (1980a) states that Jeffreys' name should come back into use if they prove not to be congeneric, but this is not correct as the replacement occurred before 1961 (ICZN Article 59.3).
