Comments: G. Coovert (pers. comm. Feb 1997) considers Eastern Atlantic records of P. marginatum to be Prunum cinctum, but Weisbord (1962) considered P. marginatum to be West African and P. cinctum to be Caribbean. Pending resolution, they are treated as synonyms herein (22 Oct 2003).
