Comments: Collin (2000) redefined Crepidula plana, restricting its range to Georgia and north. Records of C. plana in Florida and the Gulf of Mexico may apply to C. depressa and C. atrasolea. Records from Brazil may be C. intratesta. The identity of records from the Caribbean and northern South America has not yet been determined, so they are maintained here under C. plana pending resolution.
