Comments: Krebs (1864) used the name Patella confusa "Guilding" for Patella notata of Lamarck, non Chemnitz (i.e., Linnaeus). As the Guilding name was not available, Krebs's action creates a new name based on Lamarck's Antillean material. See Patella confusa Petit, 1851, a nude name, which Pilsbry 1891 equated with Acmaea punctulata, which is now Patelloida pustulata.
