Comments: Non Murex accinctus Born, 1778 (which is Pisania pusio); Montagu's species has not been synonymized in print despite the primary homonymy and has not treated as congeneric with Born's species since 1899, so resolution of the homonymy requires ICZN action (Article 23.9.5).
