Comments: According to Odé (1996), Menke's material of Oxytrema crenulatum came from a Dr. Schiede, who also collected Cyclostoma mexicanum Menke, 1830, which is now known to occur in Vera Cruz. Menke's name has priority if the synonym is correct.
