Comments: Nude name in Krebs (1864: 94), as Atys guildingii. Not Bullae guildingii Swainson, 1840, which is Haminoea elegans.

Comments: Incorrect original spelling of guildingi; Sowerby used the spelling guildinii on the plate caption and the index, and gave the common name 'Guildin's Atys'. The subsequent spelling guildingi is preserved because it is prevailing use (ICZN Article 33.3.1.).
