Distribution: Costa Rica, Colombia, Cuba: North Havana Province, Santiago de Cuba; Haiti, Puerto Rico, St. Barthelemy/St. Bartholomew, Guadeloupe, Martinique; St. Vincent & the Grenadines: St. Vincent

Comments: As Rissoina striaticostata in plate caption, a misspelling, unless the plate can be shown to have been published before the text. Rolán & Luque (2000) noted that a syntype of R. striatocostata was conspecific with one of R. decussata, but other authors (e.g., Jong & Coomans (1988) have considered the species distinct. They are treated as separate species here pending a lectotype designation. Odé's (1973c) record from the northwestern Gulf of Mexico needs confirmation.
